Small Ceramic Bowls with Modern-Rustic Character

Every bowl is finished with a bright yellow-green glaze that gifts each uniquely crafted bowl an undeniably modern feel. A thin organic orange line encircles each bowl, a border between the roughly textured glaze-free base and the bold upper, accentuating the organic nature of wheel-thrown pottery.

With the naïve playfulness with which I create the small stoneware bowls, the stunning colourway makes a pleasing modernity throughout the collection that is perfectly at home with formal and informal dining.

Embracing the natural variations which occur in each rustic bowl is imperative. They move with the marks of my hands and the nature of the glaze for a tactile finish and aesthetically pleasing form.

I create each hand-thrown piece from my Devonshire pottery studio. The Merry Mustard collection is crafted using carefully sourced Cornish stoneware, supporting the local pottery industry and enabling me to keep my environmental impact low.
