This set of 2 espresso cups is designed with Italian tradition in mind. Slightly bigger than today’s espresso cups, these small ceramic cups are for true coffee lovers, to be used like traditional Italian espresso macchiato cups.

The Perfect Set of 2 Espresso Cups for Modern Living

The handmade nature of the espresso cups leaves you to discover a deliberate wonkiness in all the right places. They are finished with a dip in a cheerfully earthly yellow-green glaze that timelessly fits into conscious interiors. Where the base is left glaze-free, the clay and glaze react, leaving a burnt orange line that accentuates the raw form of every bowl.

Warm hues and raw textures create a playful finish, speckled with the nature of the clay and imbued with the process of making.

Uniquely Handmade Espresso Cups Set

I hand-throw every little espresso cup on my potters’ wheel at my Devonshire studio, using Cornish stoneware clay sourced responsibly from a local family business.

The consistency of the Merry Mustard collection comes not from exactly duplicating an item over and over again but by throwing each piece with a fresh set of eyes and a feel for the clay centred on the wheel. This means that these handmade espresso cups won’t match precisely but will pair with a natural ease and belonging in every set of two.
