Serving Platter - White With Blue Dot, Rustic Studio Pottery

These stoneware serving platters are a cool and contemporary addition to the modern kitchen. The elements of texture, muted tones and modern style are seen in each serving plate; the perfect centrepiece for home-dining in the contemporary home.

A Simple Coastal Design for Everyday Use and Decoration

The sand-coloured stoneware is painted with a beautiful off-white slip, handmade in the studio to perfectly compliment the natural features of the clay. Appearing almost as a whitewash, I paint the serving platters freehand, swirling the paint to the centre mimicking the roll of waves on the shore. The blue dot contrasts with this, the inky spot a stoic focal point that transforms the design.

Uniquely Artisan Tableware

A hero-piece for tablescaping, each ceramic platter is wheel-thrown in my pottery studio from Cornish stoneware clay sourced responsibly from a local family business.

The physicality of each handmade serving platter is key to my pottery. A generous diameter and deep sides form the shape. Still, it is leaving the natural wonkiness and the poetry of hand-painting that creates such beautiful individual pieces that will never be the same as any I have made before.
