These large cappuccino cups are perfect for an Italian coffee experience and give you room to practise your latte art. If coffee isn’t your hot drink of choice, the rounded shape of these rustic cups also lends itself well to a spot of tea. 

Unique Rustic Coffee Cups

All large cappuccino cups are hand thrown on my potters’ wheel before glazing with a bold yellow-green. But the texture of the clay remains uncompromised, not least in the unglazed base. Here, the character of the clay grounds the cappuccino cups’ design in contemporary rustic simplicity.

Around the voluptuous body of the traditional coffee cup, a fine rust-orange line reactively appears, a conversation between the glaze and the naked clay. It allows us to celebrate the subtle differences that form in the final products in the Merry Mustard range.

From my Devon studio 

I use locally produced Cornish stoneware clay to create the Merry Mustard collection.

Here, I throw each rustic cappuccino cup with individuality, allowing the clay to form with deliberate wonkiness and movement, making the cup-to-be rather than a cup just like the last.
