All Japanese ceramic cups have a textured surface, which is a result of the clay's inherent feel and the lines left behind during the throwing process. Each stoneware beaker is a one-of-a-kind work of art inspired by Japanese tea culture. The colours, details, and overall look produce a rough yet pure finish that emphasises the materials' excellence.

Each Japanese-inspired teacup is a vibrant and stylish complement to the modern home, ideal for sharing a cup of tea or an espresso with friends.

Please note that your teacup may not be pictured. Every piece in the Grey Coincidence collection is a one-of-a-kind item that can never, by the very nature of handcrafting, be repeated. But rest assured that I create every teacup with the same focus on aesthetic balance and individuality.

Uniquely Handcrafted Japanese-Style Teacups

Each teacup is hand-thrown and then hand-painted and glazed in an earthy brown and grey finish. Each teacup's classic shape bears the imprint of its creation, from my hands to yours.

As colours and shapes emerge around the body of the teacup during the firing process, the glaze reacts with the raw clay foundation and slipware, creating a stunning appearance that embraces modern rustic simplicity.

Modern Rustic Teacups Handcrafted from Stoneware Clay

The Grey Coincidence Collection is made in my Devon-based pottery workshop using locally sourced Cornish stoneware clay.

Each brown-grey designer teacup is created in small batches with individual creative precision, so while all of my creations are unique, possessing a set designed just for you is extremely special.
