These large ceramic dinner plates are tableware for the conscious modern kitchen; soulful, organic, and embracing the festivity of feasting.

The bold yellow-green glaze will feel right at home forevermore, authentically rugged and endearingly jolly.

Subtle glazing imperfections around the rim of the plate bring the stoneware clay to the heart of the story. These peek through in a raw, natural form as the orange-rust line, usually seen around the centre of the Merry Mustard collection, flows just beneath the rim, occasionally making an appearance but otherwise a secret part of the story for you to discover.

Merry Mustard tableware is not complete without these statement dinner plates, created in my pottery studio from stoneware clay produced by a family business in neighbouring Cornwall.

The joy of each plate is seen in the variations that occur during each step of the process; marks left by my hand while on – and off – the wheel, the unpredictability of glazing, and the finished dinner plate as it leaves the kiln. However many Merry Mustard dinner plates you need, they will never match exactly but will always look perfectly at ease together.
