Hand-thrown and hand-glazed large cappuccino coffee cups made from stoneware clay. Part of the coastal-inspired WHITE IMPATIENCE pottery collection with white and blue glaze.

These extra-wide cappuccino coffee cups may be extra special, but they’re still made for every day. Imperfectly perfect, they are just the right size for your morning coffee or a catch-up with loved ones.

Coastal Inspired Coffee Cups

All ceramic cappuccino cups are individually hand-thrown on my potters’ wheel before they are fired with a wash of white clay slip reminiscent of breaking waves over the raw sand-coloured clay at the heart of this design. A dramatic inky blue smudge finishes the design, grounding each cappuccino cup with an air of Nordic minimalism.

The curved form of the traditional coffee cup carries the movement of the coast, where the subtle white glaze and bold dot react to the form, adding true fluidity to each piece.

Large Cappuccino Coffee Cups from my Small Pottery Studio

From my Devon-based studio, I work with locally produced Cornish stoneware clay to create the White Impatience collection.

Here, I throw each rustic cappuccino cup with individuality, allowing the clay to form with deliberate wonkiness and perfect imperfections, making the cup-to-be rather than a cup just like the last.
