Birthday Gift

I bought this 90 min pottery lesson for my husband's birthday as he'd expressed an interest in throwing a pot on a wheel. He thoroughly enjoyed his 1 to 1 lesson with Sabine and said she was an excellent teacher (high praise from him). I think he was rather chuffed with the two bowls he made and is looking forward to collecting them when they have been fired.

Always leaving happy!

As someone who is brand new to throwing, Sabine is incredibly patient and thorough with her method of teaching. She creates a very relaxed and positive environment in a quaint her garden studio, giving you the space to learn, focus and enjoy! I’m blown away with the progress we’ve made after only a few lessons and have already walked away with my first items out the kiln :) I can’t recommend Sabine enough if you’re looking to dip your fingers into a new skill.

Excellent experience

I recently started taking classes with Sabine and have been delighted with them. I thought I would spend the first session with nothing to show but a muddy mess, but Sabine’s patient and encouraging approach resulted in the production of two olive bowls in the first lesson! I have been delighted with my sessions ever since and she supports me to make steady progress, challenging me to take a risk here and there and explaining and guiding when things go awry. I throughly recommend these lessons to anyone interested in developing a new skill or to someone wishing to improve their current practise as Sabine is clearly a skilled artist that has a lot to offer.

Wonderful teacher

I can't recommend Sabine's pottery lessons enough! Whether you're a beginner or have worked with clay before, she creates such a relaxed and constructive environment. The one-on-one experience means Sabine can guide you through the creating stages at a speed that suits you and she's always there to answer questions and help. After only three lessons, I feel like I've learnt so much and always leave her studio feeling so happy! If you live in or around Mid Devon and have a niggle for pottery, a lesson with Sabine is a must.

Joy, Ease and Flow

I am thoroughly enjoying my one to one teaching sessions with Sabine. She is an excellent teacher who intuitively guides and encourages my ideas. Sabine has a wealth of knowledge that she is happy to share. She supports not only on a practical level teaching new skills and techniques but also has a good artistic awareness. I love the fact that as my ideas unfold, there is space for being free and open to explore all possibilities!
I'm learning so much in a positive and relaxed studio. Driving home, I always feel inspired and look forward to my next visit.
